Typewritten extract from a letter to the Press from Col. Clayton, explaining the efforts made by the Red Cross to identify FEPOWs and to facilitate letters to and from their families. He encourages families to keep writing even if they do not receive replies, and explains that the names of more officers than ordinary soldiers are coming in, simply becauuse that is how they are being produced by the Japanese, part of a collection of documents collected by Capt Thomas C. Eaton, Royal Norfolk Regiment, 4th Battalion, T.A., 1936-1950, relating to his Territorial Army service and to his captivity as a Far East Prisoner of War, 1942-1945
