Sketch of dug-out April 22nd 1916 enclosed with letter from the Western Front 1916. Kept in manuscript notebook with extracts of the letters written and drawn by Lt Cecil Upcher of the 9th battalion Norfolk Regiment to his fiance, Hilda Ward. The sketches have been removed from the books and kept separately.
