Description

Luftwaffe Dagger, the hilt has a round grey metal pommel of oak leaves inset with a swastika. The grip is white plastic, bound diagonally with silver wire. A grey metal ferrule and eagle with spread wings grasping swastika form the quillon and languet. The blade is double edged, spear point. The scabbard grey metal with 2 oak-leaf decorated bands with loose rings. Similarly decorated shape with round finial. The bullion dress knot and black hanging straps are missing.

Third Reich Luftwaffe Officer’s dagger: Offizierdolch der Luftwaffe. It is a 1937 pattern. Captured by the 1st Battalion, Royal Norfolk Regiment in 1945.
