Description

Part of an officer's Regency shako badge; silver battle honours are fixed across the brass plate mounted on a textile base; worn by Captain J. Taylor c. 1820-1830 and donated by his great granddaughter. Part of a larger badge (see NWHRM : 1891) it would be mounted on the shako with the metal badge overlapping its bottom section.
