Description

Revolving barrel pistol; property of Captain the Honourable C.L. Hare who was killed at the battle of Alma in 1854. Bar-hammer percussion action with mechanically rotated cluster of 6 smooth-bore barrels and their chambers each with provision for a percussion cap to be screwed on and protected by an engraved shield The trigger raises the hammer, revolves the barrels and fires the piece. Trigger guard has additional loop for second finger to help heavy pull needed to rotate cylinder
