Description

A grid, coloured map of Baghdad, Iraq dated 31 July, 1918. The map depicts the area around Baghdad and flow of River Tigris and River Diyalah. Highlighted in red are roads, towns, and towers in and near the city. A scale indicates one inch to a mile with the grid squares equally one square mile as well. It is compiled from surveys of the Survey Party M.E.F. (Mesopotamia Expeditionary Force) up to June 1918. A reference is located at the bottom detailing the roads and other tracks along with areas liable to flooding and other water sources.
