Sketch Map T.C.74 Shumran - Baghaila

A sketch map of Shumran-Baghaila dated 18 December, 1916. It is enlarged from Wilkock's Irrigation Map and Degree Sheet No.2H with additions from Aeroplane Reconnaissance and Reports. It is actualy two maps glued together detailing the area of the Shumran Bend It shows the River Tigris with much detail of advances and gun emplacements and ferrry crossings. Notes written in pencil can be seen left behind from the previous owner. A scale located at the base and the top both indicate one inch to a mile.
