Basra

A provisional edition, grid, coloured map of Basra, Iraq. Compiled at the Royal Geographical Society under the direction of the Geographical Section General Staff 1917. A reference located at the left base describes railways, boundaries, towns of importance, post/telegraph offices, geographical features, roads and contours at 300 metres and above. To the right of the reference guide contains two scales of the 1:1,000,000 projection; one millimetre to one kilometre and approximately one inch to sixteen miles. An index to boundaries and to adjoining sheets is provided as well as a glossary of terms.
