Description

A paper enforced with linen sketch map of Kirkuk, Iraq dated 31 October,1917. It depicts the surrounding areas of the River Tigris and the River Zab junction. It covers 633 square miles with Kirkuk in the east, Jabal Hamrin Mountains in the south, Qalat Ash Sharat in the west, and Jubur Arabs in the north. The map provides geographical features along with roads and nearby towns and cities. A scale is provided at the bottom with one inch to four miles. It is reduced from Maunsell's Sheet No. 35 supplemented by the German War Office Map 1916.
