Description

A hand drawn grid map of Iraq concerning the areas near Quizil Robat, Lake Hamrin, and Khanikin (modern day Khanaqin). This area was occupied by the Norfolk Regiment in 1918 in general advance from Sharaban town passing through the Jobel Hamrin Hills after extensive exploration. It was reproduced by the 3rd Corps 16 March, 1919 and is part of the Maunsells Sheets No.'s 37 and 38. A scale is given along the base indicating approximately 1 inch to 4 miles. Orange pencil is used to highlight areas important to the previous owner.
