Description
Sampler book; loose-leaf exercise book with worked samples on each page; shape of stitch, running and felling, joins and tapes, gathers and stroked pleats, buttonholes, buttons, tucks, gussets, insertions, herring-boning, feather stitch, flannel binding, patching, hem-stitching, marking, darning and smocking. Worked by Pamela Amelia Kendall in 1908. Part of a collection of samples worked by Amelia when she attended a night school to be taught needlework at the age of 16.
