Iron sign from the Riverside Works of Boulton and Paul Ltd; highly ornamental sign made up of tendril-like scrolls, stylised flower heads and foliage; the sign comprises a central square panel with gold painted lettering in relief: 'RIVERSIDE WORKS', decorated with a single stylised flower head painted yellow and gold; the panel is further decorated with tendril-like scrolls and two stylised flower heads in yellow and gold which extend beyond and below the panel; the remainder of the sign comprises a wall bracket, a bar from which the panel is attached and a pair of ornamental brackets which serve as braces which are all painted dark blue; late 19th/early 20th century
