This magnificent cup is one of a matching pair, found in central Norfolk at Crownthorpe, Wicklewood, near the site of a Late Iron Age settlement and subsequent Romano-British small town. Together, they exhibit a combination of the different and opposing cultural influences current in Norfolk during the mid-first century AD.
