Description

Wedding dress in pale blue woollen material, separate bodice and skirt, bodice is very boned with high stand-up collar, decorated with silver sequins and tiny glass beads also chiffon round the top and neck, front yoke gathered into tiny vertical tucks and bordered with beads, sequins and lace frill, on left shoulder is a spray of white wax flowers on chiffon, shoulders are puffed, sleeves long and tight and the cuff decorated with sequins and beads, skirt has flat front and gathered back, lined with blue glazed cotton, frill with pinked edge shows beneath the hem, from the late 1890s
