Description

Wedding dress in cream georgette over a white lining, skirt and bodice separate, skirt has vertical tucks down front and hem highly decorated with lace and gold thread and vertical tucks in cream satin, series of flounces in the dress material and a long train, the bodice is boned and front fastening, bloused effect, centre front very full and gathered into waist, trimmed with lace and metal thread forming floral design, horizontal tucks in bodice sides and sleeves giving a bolero effect, trimmed with cream satin ribbons and lace cuffs, stand up collar, made of lace with cream ribbon insertion and bow decoration, cream sash, worn by Mrs McGowan in 1901, there is a photograph of the bride and groom
