Petticoat in white tabby weave cotton, deep yoke of double fabric, skirt attched without gathers at back and pleated at intervals in front, drawstring threaded through back of casement at top of yoke to gather in back of skirt, shaped horizontal tuck half way down skirt at back, frills of scalloped broderie anglaise and bands of tucks on the skirt, marked inside yoke C.E. Batt 1879, machine stitched
