Description

Petticoat of silk woven into black and white stripe, black sain weave, white ribbed weave, white silk taffeta and black cotton velvet ribbon, skirt has 5 gores, opening in back seam, pleats either side, deep tuck all round the bottom, flounce has three tiers joined with ribbon, 1st tier bias top half pleated and 5 rows of ribbon, 2nd tier bias pleated with 6 rows of ribbon and the 3rd bias, slightly gathered with 3 extra frills, label inside back waist Au Louvre Paris, about 1916
