Petticoat in black taffeta, 7 gores, box pleat at back, placket opening at side back fastening with metal hook and eye at waist, 2 centre front gores pieced, faced waist, tuck at bottom of skirt, accordian pleated flounce, mostly machine stitched, box pleat at back possibly a later alteration, about 1900 to 1910
