Description

Petticoat in specially woven white cotton for making petticoats, back panel has narrow pique weave changing to a heavier pique and front panel is a twill weave changing to a narrow pique weave, deep curved waistband, skirt in three material widths with seam centre back, organ pleated into waistband, tuck all round above stiffer section of skirt, about 1845 to 1870, hand stitched throughout and marked inside waistband with ink M Hood
