Child's dress in white cotton, boat neck, short sleeves slightly gathered into piped armholes, dress has flared front with centre front fastening, originally open to hem, but altered, insertions parallel to centre front opening turning to run horizontally above double frill at hem, back in four panels, french seam, shortened above frill with a tuck, machine sewn, about 1879
