Drawing, 'Embossed brick found at Great Yarmouth' by Cornelius Jansson Walter Winter (1817-1891), pencil, ink and watercolour, 1851; 14.4 cm x 19.4 cm; signed in brown ink lower right of subject ' C.J.W.W. fect.'; in brown ink lower margin 'Embossed Brick (of very fine Clay) Found (1847) while digging for a Cistern (by Jas. Ockley / Bricklayer Market Gates Gt. Yarmouth) 4 feet below the surface of the earth in the Glass-/house Row N. Quay Gt Yarmouth, and now (Oct. 1851) in the possession of the Artist.'
