Child's dress in white cotton, wide neckline with edging of broderie anglaise, flat front and gathered back, feather stitched band at neck, hour glass shaped panel extending to hem, decorated with alternating bands of broderie anglaise and narrow tucks, panel has broderie anglaise border which continues over shoulder to shoulder seam, no sleeves but shaped band of broderie anglaise gives epaulette effect, gathered into waist with drawstring, machine sewn, about 1884
