One of the most enthralling archaeological projects in recent years has been the mapping of a massive submerged landscape, larger than the area of the United Kingdom, which once connected the English coast with that of continental Europe. It was the finding of a delicate antler harpoon point, on the Leman and Ower Banks in the North Sea, some 40km beyond today’s north Norfolk coast, which played a key role in the rediscovery of this sunken landscape, which is now known a Doggerland.
