Description

Fossil, Mammuthus meridionalis (Nesti) (southern elephant) fragment of upper left molar M2/M3(?). Mineralised, cover cement lost lingually. The enamel is black in colour externally, and blueish white, internally. The dentine is grey brown in colour externally, and yellow to browny beige, internally, and the cement is beige in colour. The sediment is a medium grained to a very fine powdery bright orange sand, and is adhering to the base of the crown and between the roots
