Baby's christening robe; white lawn with lace round the neck and cuffs; whitework, lace and tucks in the bodice front; lace frill round the hem with two rows of horizontal tucks and lace insertion; tie at the neck; centre back opening - one cloth covered button; part hand and part machine made; made by the donor's husband's mother in 1900 (c) worn by generations of family)
