Dress, cream, gold and coffee coloured lace over cream satin, sleeveless, V-neck with two tucks round the back of the neck; four covered buttons down the front, one press stud, full skirt gathered on to lowered waistline, zip at the side; skirt - five bands of different coloured lace - darkest in the middle, mid-calf length; 'new look' from the late 1940's - shows signs of having been shortened
