Description

Cased display consisting of 15 red squirrels now faded white sitting around a table laid with cutlery, plates and glasses. They're are (most probably) not by Walter Potter. Tony Irwin looked into this and had it verified by Dr Pat Morris (who is an expert on British taxidermy). It's in the same sort of style, but isn't quite the same as Potter's work (they don't have any clothes). It was quite popular in to create these sorts of scenes using taxidermy in the late Victorian period, so it could have been any number of taxidermists.
