Apron. Full length, white, cotton bib pinafore. Heart shaped top with broderie anglasie decoration. Owned and worn by Edith Allen (nee Addison) when working as a general servant and nursemaid at various locations in Norfolk.

Edith Allen (nee Addison) was born on 4th November 1886 in Saham Toney. Edith worked as a General Servant for Frederick Eaton, farmer, Palmers Farm, Fersfield in 1901, aged 14. By 1905 Edith was working for Mrs Katie Sutton as a nursemaid at Park Cottage, Framingham Pigot. By 1907 Edith was working for Vicar George Watson and his wife Caroline at Shropham Vicarage. Edith also worked at Yoxford House, King's Lynn, possibly for Henry and Nellie Brown. Edith married Horace Walpole Allen in 1914 and ceased to work after her marriage.
